Camelid Complete Feeds

When feeding young groups of Alpacas or Llamas it is advisable to allow at least 2 feet (600 mm) of trough space for each animal. This will reduce the incidence of bullying and will also allow young Cria to become part of the feeding routine.

Some Alpacas and Llamas are slow or shy whilst eating and can be excluded from feeding by other group members. Action should be taken to place these in another group.

If you only have a few in the group, try feeding them individually using shallow containers such as horse feeding trough skips or washing up bowls.
